unpretentious animals® are unique, 100% handmade stuffed animals from Switzerland. They give fabric scraps, old clothes or towels a new life.
The story:
He was gonna get a real cat, but due to a difficult landlord and a tight money situation, this seemed almost impossible. To give him something to pet and hold when he was alone, she designed Gertie the Cat. Soon after, Herbie the Goat joined them in their apartment. To complete the little family Owlie the Owl was born. The youngest family member is Wolfram the Bat, who was born on Christmas 2008. In 2010 Rattle the Snake came out of its hiding place to enjoy springtime.
Gertie, Herbie, Owlie, Wolfram and Rattle are unpretentious animals: They are lovely, uncomplicated and clean companions for lonely people or simply animal lovers, who can't or don't want to get a real pet.

Die Geschichte:
Er wollte eine echte Katze haben, was jedoch aufgrund von schwierigen Vermietern und der nicht sehr rosigen finanziellen Lage unmöglich schien. Damit er trotzdem etwas zum Streicheln und Kuscheln hatte, wenn er alleine war, entwarf sie Gertie the Cat. Es dauerte nicht lange und Herbie the Goat gesellte sich dazu. Kurze Zeit später wurde Owlie the Owl geboren und erweiterte so die kleine Familie um ein weiteres Mitglied. Das jüngste Familienmitglied ist Wolfram the Bat, welcher zur Weihnachtszeit 2008 geboren wurde. Zu Beginn des Jahres 2010 tauchte Rattle the Snake aus ihrem Versteck auf, um die Frühlingszeit zu geniessen.
Gertie, Herbie, Owlie, Wolfram und Rattle sind die unpretentious animals: Sie sind liebenswerte, unkomplizierte und saubere Gefährten für einsame oder ganz einfach tierliebende Menschen, die kein echtes Haustier haben können oder wollen.
